Abecasis & Son brokers in India rubber and gutta percha at 140 Congress Street and boarding at Hotel Palmerston in Boston, 19.may.1885 he patented a 'fastening device for shoes, gloves, &c', 27.aug.1886 he arrived with wife and children from Liverpool at Boston, 8.dec.1904 following the occupation of capitalist (!) residing in New York City but temporarily sojourning with wife and daughter in Brussel Belgium, at time of death residing at 2 Hyde Park Square ; son of rentier/merchant Judah (Jules) Samuel Abecasis (London Barking 12.oct.1828-2.jul.1866 New York Manhattan) and Lavina Rodrigues Brandon (Barbados, St Michael 18.jan.1826-1.dec.1901 London Maida Vale) who married 23.dec.1852 in New York ; 29.sep.1880 in London he married Esther de Pass (South Africa Cape Town 29.apr.1860-25.sep.1942 London Hyde Park) ; son Loris Daniel (Boston 6.jun.1884-17.mar.1950 St Leonards on Sea), daughter Emily Viola (Boston 17.jun.1885-12.oct.1936 Switzerland, Basel)
