conductor, teacher, studied with Fritz Volbach in Munster, 1920 studied piano, organ, singing, conducting and composition at the Akademie der Tonkunst in Berlin, 1923 conductor of the Musikverein in Osterfeld Westfalen and the Musikverein in Oberhausen, during his service in WWII he was opera conductor in Kharkov Ukraine until 1943 when he was taken in Russian captivity in Stalingrad, thanks to his musical talent he survived and was released in 1948, from 1950 he was director of the Association Cultural Organizations in Dusseldorf, 1976 he was awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz
