jewish violinist, teacher violin, graduated from the Conservatory in Koln Germany, on his return he became violist of the Utrechtsch Stedelijk Orkest, 1895 he became violist/concertmaster of De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, 1898-1913 founder/secretary and 1.jun.1927 honorary member of the Nederlandsch Muziekpaedagogisch Verbond, 1899 with Ary Belinfante founder of the Eerste Particuliere Muziekschool en Conservatorium at the Johannes Verhulststraat 112 in Amsterdam, 1.mar.1904 moved to Van de Veldestraat 2, early in his career he took part in the chamber music soirees of Toonkunst Amsterdam and later formed a trio with pianist Ary Belinfante and cellist Bertrand H Drilsma, since 1905 he was member of the Freemasons Lodge 'La Bien Aimee', 1.jun.1929 N J van der Stad took over the direction of his Muziekschool but he remained as violin teacher until his death ; son of Joseph van Adelberg and Rachel Landsberger ; he married Virginie de Jong (Kampen 1.oct.1851-24.jun.1914 Amsterdam) ; 23.sep.1915 he married Rosaline 'Ro' Duparc (Den Haag 28.mar.1873-24.sep.1942 Poland, Auschwitz)
