jewish violinist, conductor, 1897-1903 studied violin with J Maraka and composition with Vitezslav Novak at Prague Conservatory, 1904 choir repetitor in Olomouc, 1905-1915 and 1918-1921 music teacher in Vienna Austria, 1922-1929 conductor in Berlin Germany, 1929 he worked in the shop of his parents, 1936 as composer member of Ochranne Sdruzeni Autorske Csl. Skladatelu Spisovatelh a Nakladatelu Hudebnich (OSA) Prague, before 1940 he was exiled by the Nazi's to Austria, 26.jun-14.jul.1942 transported from Prostejov to Maly Trostinets concentration camp near Minsk where the Jews were killed on arrival, he wrote Czech and German songs, marches and dance pieces a few recorded on His Master's Voice Esta ; son of merchant Ferdinand Adler (21.feb.1855-22.jun.1907 Prague)
