tenor singer, choral conductor, as singer and choral conductor he toured the USA, 24.jun.1890 he emigrated to the USA settling as vocal teacher at 527 Graham Street in Pittsburgh, 13.jun.1893 he declared his intention to become a citizen of the US, 15.jul.1905 in Pittsburgh he became naturalized american, 3.jun.1907 he planned a 3 month visit to Germany, 1908 teacher of singing in Berlin and never returned to the USA ; son of Heinrich Wilhelm Ahl and Antoinette Henriette Ferdinand ; 27.apr.1869 at the Evangelische Kirche Salzderhelden parish of Fallersleben in Hannover he married Wilhelmine Georgine Caroline Bertha Boes (Hannover 4.aug.1839-16.dec.1919 Berlin) ; son composer Georg Ahl
