musicologist, doctor of philosophy, received his first piano study from his mother, 1919-1925 studied composition with Franz Schmidt and musicology with Eusebius Mandyczewski and Guido Adler at the Music Academy in Vienna, studied violin with Otakar Sevcik in Pisek, 1925-1926 concert master of the Musikvereins of Innsbruck, 1926-1929 teacher at the Volkskonservatorium in Vienna, 1929-1930 violinist in the orchestra of the Staatsoper in Berlin, 1931-1945 violinist in the Berlin Philharmonic, 1931 with a doctors degree in philosophy residing at Schillerstrasse 101 in Berlin, 1936-1940 residing at Wilhelmsaue 15 in Berlin, apparently 1938 studying for a master degree and 1940 a doctors degree in composition, he died on the seventh day of the Battle of Berlin when an SS tank shell ripped his head off
