violinist, bandmaster, 1888-1889 elected bandmaster and manager of the Hagerstown City Band in Hagerstown Maryland, 25.apr.1889 Mr. and Mrs. C L Akeley played a duet for two violins and a Gavotte and the Hagerstown City Band played some of his compositions at the Academy of Music in Hagerstown, 7.jun.1889 he directed a concert for the benefit of the Williamsport flood sufferers at the Academy of Music in Hagerstown, 25.jul-1.aug.1889 he conducted the Hagerstown City Band at Mont Alto Park Pennsylvania including 4 of his own compositions, 25.may.1903 he resigned his position as instructor of music in the public schools of London Ohio and became bandmaster of the city band of Martinsburg West Virginia, some years long before 1903 and again until 12.mar.1906 he was bandmaster of the Exeter Brassband New Hampshire, 1909 music teacher at the School of Music Pedagogy in Northhampton Massachusetts, 1910 as musician and music teacher residing at 7 Gardner Street in Exeter New Hampshire, he was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport Massachusetts ; son of farmer Isaiah Levere Akeley (Maine 1825-) and Elizabeth A Batchelder (New Hampshire, Glimanton 1824-31.mar.1872 Belmont) ; 3.aug.1873 in Belmont he married Ella F Folsom (25.jun.1857-22.aug.1884 Belmont) ; 14.sep.1885 in Portland Maine he married violinist Annie L Davis (Portland 2.oct.1854-1.jul.1932 New Hampshire, Plaistow)
