blind organist, pianist, choirmaster, teacher piano, organ, theory and harmony, FRCO, LRAM, 1920 residing with his parents at 16 Fitzwarren Gardens London Highgate and/or 27 Islington Green London, his father died at the age of 51 when he was 14 years old, his only sibling brother Thomas Valentine died at the age of 19 when he was 17 years old, 13.dec.1925 he was awarded a prize at the Potter Exhibition for male pianists, 27.jun.1927 he was awarded 'being very highly commended' the Matthew Phillimore Pianoforte Prize, 24.jun.1936 he took part with the role 'blind composer' in an All Star concert in Streatham, 1942-1944 blind organist and choirmaster at the Streatham High Road Methodist Church, 1945 blind organist of Purley Congregational Church, he gave many public concerts on the organ and as accompanist at the piano, 1962 he was the sole heir when both his mother and stepfather died ; son of varnish and color manufacturer Walter Aldridge (London Islington 1869-25.aug.1920 on a visit to Port Isaac Cornwall) and Ida Noel Small (Lincolnshire, Stamford 1883-23.apr.1962 Surrey, Worcester Park) ; 1926 stepson of John Edward Wright (1888-8.feb.1962 in the sea off Southend-on-Sea Essex)
