violinist, professor of music, conductor, 1880-1900 residing with his parents in Oxford near Detroit, 1900 at Pontiac Street, 1918 residing at 851 Cass Avenue in Detroit and musician at the Majestic Theatre, 1920 moved to Knoxville where he immediately started to form a symphony orchestra debuting 2.jan.1921 with soprano Mme. Charlotte Nelson Brailey, the orchestra became the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, 1921 conductor at Loew's Theatre, 1926-1938 as violinist, music teacher, conductor and composer residing at 615 16th Street in Knoxville Tennessee, 1922-1926 violinist and conductor at the Riviera Theatre in Knoxville ; son of carpenter Henry Helen Allen (New Jersey, Newton 16.jan.1847-8.jun.1916 Oxford) and Alice L Conklin (NY, Bergen 1.apr.1850-22.feb.1917 Oxford) ; 16.apr.1917 in Lucas Ohio he married opera singer Charlotte Nelson (Knoxville 21.sep.1879-11.dec.1967 Knoxville) who had earlier been married to Orra Lester Brailey 12.jun.1900 and divorced him 1915 (still her grave is inscribed Charlotte Nelson Allen 'Madame Brailey' beloved wife of Charles E Allen)
