cornetist, band musician, jeweler by profession, while he was solo cornetist in the Jacksonville Park Band Florida he had been offered a position with John Philip Sousa's band, member of the Spring Garden Band, 1908-1911 under bandmaster V F Safranek musician in the band of the 13th Coast Artillery Corps of the US Army stationed in Fort Dupont Delaware, 1920 he operated a jewelry and optometry establishment in Glen Rock, member of the Glen Rock Band, 1921 he opened a jewelry store in New Freedom, he was a 50-year member of the Jackson Lodge in Delaware City Delaware, member of the Harrisburg Consistory and the Scottish Rite Club and Zembo Temple in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, he died after 2 months at nursing home Pleasant Acres in York Springettsbury and was buried at Lutheran Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Glen Rock ; 2.aug.1904 in Lancaster Pennsylvania he married Belle Vista Herbert (Glen Rock 24.aug.1883-12.sep.1961 Riverdale residing New Freedom)
