cornetist, clarinetist, bandmaster, farmer by profession, he actually lived from birth until 1930 on farms in Union near Republic, 27.feb.1904 bandleader and Bb cornetist of the new band of Republic at their first street concert after practising for 4 months, 29.jan.1906 bandmaster and clarinetist of the re-organized Republic Military Band at Kansas Day exercises at the Town Hall, 1909-1911 as farmer residing in Upton Wyoming, 1921 he played in the Belleville Band Kansas, 7.may.1925 in Belleville he advertized 'Dance at Riverside, every Saturday night, music furnished by Jack Ambrose Orchestra ; son of farmer John Wesley Ambrose (Pennsylvania, Donegal may.1848-27.mar.1930 Kansas, Norton) and Florence A Hawes (Wisconsin, Farmington 30.apr.1856-30.jan.1917 Norton) ; 1906 he married Isabel Elizabeth Fogelberg (Union 24.apr.1885-13.jul.1966 Hartford)
