1961-1964 educated at Arcadia High School in Arcadia Los Angeles where he played saxophone in the eight-piece Pep Band and all larger orchestras and bands, 1961 residing in Arcadia, then Altadena Los Angeles, studied composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, co-founder and for some time president of the Independent Composers Association in Los Angeles, studied composition with Morton Subotnick at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles Santa Clarita, 1994 residing in Los Angeles Monrovia ; son of physician George David Amromin (Russia 27.feb.1919-16.jan.1995 Los Angeles Sierra Madre)
