pianist, 1900-1911 residing in Chicago Evanston Illinois, 1907 BM and 1908 MM from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, studied piano with Tina Mae Haines and theory and composition with Arthur Olaf Andersen in Chicago, 1908 she won the Gold Medal for Composition at the American Conservatory, 1911 she made a visit of six months to Europe, possibly for musical study, 1931, 1933 and 1937 she made visits to Europe with her children, 1947-1950 residing at Catalina Foothills and at time of death at 5505 Camino Escuela in Tucson, she was buried at Evergreen Memorial Park Tucson ; daughter of merchant Thomas Alexander Somerville (Brooklyn 26.jul.1856-1.jul.1930 Evanston) and Selina Osborne Snape (New York City 7.dec.1855-19.oct.1942 Evanston) ; 11.mar.1916 in Chicago she married university teacher Raymond Quakenboss Chambers (Minnesota, St Paul 24.nov.1890-15.dec.1975 Florida, St Petersburg) divorced before 1930 ; 1930-1940 she lived in Chicago as Helen Somerville with son Alexander Somerville (Chicago 21.oct.1920-), daughter Helen Somerville (Chicago 10.feb.1925-) and two servants ; 12.jul.1947 in Tucson she married composer Arthur Olaf Andersen
