soprano, lyricist, 1925 she resided with her parents in Vesper and studied at the University of Kansas in Lawrence where she graduated as BM, by 1941 she had graduated as MM from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, studied voice with Modesto Rossini in St Louis, Edyth Walker in New York, Clayton Guast in Springfield Illinois and Theodore Harrison at the American Conservatory, she appeared as soprano with most of the oratorio societies in the Middle West, she sung on the radio program Hymns of all churches, teacher public school music and voice in Springfield, 1939 won the Young Artist Contest of the Society of American Musicians in Springfield, 1939 supervisor of music in Normandy Missouri, 1940 voice teacher at Emporia State College Kansas, 1941 assistant professor and 1943-1945 professor of voice and head of the public school music department at Augustana College in Rock Island Illinois, 14.dec.1941 and 9.dec.1945 she sang the Messiah and 11.apr.1943 the Matthew Passion at Augustana College, 1944- residing in Chicago, Dec 1946, 1947...1949 she sang the Messiah at the Auditorium of Southern Illinois Normal University in Carbondale, 14.oct.1954 she sang for the National League of American Pen Women at the Women's University Club in Chicago ; daughter of farmer Jeppe 'John' Anderson (Denmark, Thisted 1.apr.1868-6.jan.1946 Kansas, Denmark) and Hella Nelson (Norway, Hukksund 2.apr.1871-15.sep.1935 Kansas, Denmark) ; she never married
