trombonist, spent his youth in Marietta Ohio, member of the Marietta Band and Concert Orchestra of Marietta, 1881-1901 residing in Muncie Indiana, 9.may.1891 he joined the band of the traveling Van Amburg's show, 1897 as dealer in staple and fancy groceries, fruits and vegetables in season, cured meats, etc. residing at north west corner of Liberty and 9th Streets in Muncie, 1899 as marble cutter residing 1110 South High Street in Muncie, member of the American Federation of Musicians of Muncie, 1900 as marble cutter residing at 402 Putnam Avenue in Zanesville Ohio, 14.jan.1900 1st trombone in the Muncie Musicians Union Band at Wysor's Grand Opera House, member of the Raynald Lodge No.82 Knights of Pythias in Marietta, on his way from his home in Muncie to his home in Marietta he died at the home of his stepbrother Lewis Perley Mason in Zanesville before reaching the end of his destination Marietta ; son of James Wiley Anderson (Indiana 1823-5.sep.1852 Ohio) and Emily Devol Sprague (Ohio, Big Run 17.feb.1830-23.nov.1902 Ohio, Lowell) ; 1855 he became stepson of Lewis (Louis) Marion Mason (Ohio, Truro 12.feb.1831-12.oct.1902 Ohio, Marietta) ; 29.nov.1882 in Muncie he married unknown ; son William ; 8.feb.1888 in Muskingum Ohio he married Jessie F Snyder (Pennsylvania 19.oct.1860-4.jun.1934 Muncie) ; daughter Nellie Francis (Muncie 6.aug.1891-10.dec.1918 Indianapolis suicide by poison)
