bandmaster, later manager musical theatre, 22.mar.1888 he advertized 'wanted musicians to double in band and orchestra for the Dixie Dramatic Co. organizing at Dodge City Kansas', 1891 bandmaster of the band of Stetson's United Travelling Company, 8-13.may.1893 he played Jack the strategist in the comedy 'Our Strategist' produced by the Kelly & Angell Comedy Co. with own band and orchestra at the Germania in Menasha Wisconsin, 13.aug.1897 with Miss Nellie Miller he produced Rip Van Winkle at the opera house in Waterloo Iowa, 1900 as musician boarding in Clear Lake Iowa, which proves that upto this year he still considered his music and his band/orchestral conducting as his main profession, 1899-1905 manager of the Angell's Comedians with 'excellent Band and Orchestra carried by this company', 1907 manager of the J. S. Angells Comedy Company, 1910 as manager show troupe rooming at 605 Milwaukee Street in Charles City Iowa, 1920 as theatrical manager employer residing at Dale Avenue in San Diego son of farmer Isaac Angell (England, London 1818-1865 Wisconsin, Bristol ; as Civil War victim) and Mary W Bridges (England 1832-19.mar.1890 Charles City), 21.apr.1877 stepson of Peter Rose (Scotland, Crieff 15.apr.1830-18.dec.1894 Minnesota, Minneapolis) ; 12.may.1891 in Charles City Iowa he married Evalena Bell Adams (Iowa, Mitchell 27.oct.1869-5.nov.1921 California, San Diego)
