pianist, tenor, choral conductor, 1910 residing in German Flatts NY, 1925 graduate of Ilion High School in Ilion NY, 1929 BM in piano and 1934 MM in piano and composition from Syracuse University, 1944 EdD in vocal music and administration from Columbia Uiversity, 1931 studied piano with Severin Eisenberger in Vienna Austria, 1936 with Max Landow at the Eastman School of Music and 1940 with Abram Chasins in New York, 1942-1944 studied voice with Harry Wilson in New York, 1934-1936 taught piano at Murray State College Kentucky, 1936-1973 dean at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee where he founded the Bison Glee Club, the Bisonettes and the Tuneclippers, 1990 moved to Black Mountain, died at Mission Hospital in Asheville ; son of architect Earl Warren Angell (Rhode Island 25.may.1885-) and Lilly Ward (England 1883-) ; 6.sep.1934 he married Evelyn Juliette Wells (Syracuse 9.aug.1911-)
