doctor of law, studied composition with Jozsef Konti, 1879 judge and 1883 chief of justice of Gyor county, 1888-1919 chief of Gyor police, 1888 president of the Gyor Singing and Music Association, initiator and chairman of the Transdanubian Song Association, 1901-1905 with Emil Vajda he founded and edited the music magazine Magyar Lant, two of his operas were staged and successful in several rural theatres
