studied music at the academy of Domingo Sebastian Gabiola in Berriz, then finished his study singing, piano and composition at Madrid Conservatory, 1880 settled in Mexico where he led a zarzuela company, he became owner of Teatro Principal de Mexico, 1900 due to poor health he returned to Biscay where he was bandmaster of Banda Municipal in Durango, he retired to his newly build villa in Berriz where he composed and was bandmaster of Banda de Musica de Berriz
