violinist, pianist, conductor, musicologist, 1927-1935 studied violin and piano at the State Conservatory in Kovno (Kaunas) Lithuania, 1935 BA and LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Vitautas Lithuania, 1936-1946 first violinist of the South African Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra, 1943-1944 conductor of the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra, 1944 he founded the Jewish Guild Orchestra, 1946 he founded and directed for 3 years the Conservatory of Music of the Jewish Musical Institute of South Africa in Johannesburg, teacher violin at the Marist Brothers College, 1949 head of the music library of  the South African Broadcasting Corporation, 1951 he founded the Promenade Orchestra of Johannesburg, 1960 DM degree in musicology from the University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg, 1970 member of the International Council of the National Music Librarians, 1986 he formed the London International Orchestra, he spent his last years with dementia in Sage Nursing Home Golders Green High Street London, he died at the Royal Free Hospital in London Camden ; son of Girsh Aronovskis
