baritone singer, pianist, hobby composer, engineer by profession, he never used the names Charles Henry, studied voice under Prof. Paul Neuhaus, 25.oct.1925 emigrated to the USA, settling in New York City, 19.feb.1926 he declared his intention to become american citizen while residing at 2547 Linden Street in Brooklyn, he sang at various entertainments and benefit concerts in the New York City neighbourhoods Bedford, Bushwick and Ridgewood, 10.dec.1928 debuted as singer on radio WNYC singing Carl Loewe ballads, this was so well received that the New York Tuberculosis and Health Association appealed to him to make a round of 14 New York City hospitals and sanatoriums with 4000 patients, he volunteered his services to an audience that could not have been more appreciative 'if we could have more music like that we would soon get well', 1930 as draftsman boarding with a colleague draftsman at Bell Avenue in Yardley Pennsylvania, 1934-1936 residing in Madison Connecticut, 1940 residing at 4240 Riverpark Drive in Louisville Kentucky where he was employed by the War Department US Government at 6th Broadway, 1958 residing with his wife Elizabeth at 66-48 64th Street in Brooklyn, 1978-1985 residing in rural Orange with mail address in nearby East Barre ; son of Heinrich Asbeck and Anna Kruger ; 11.may.1932 in New York Manhattan he married nurse and hobby lyricist Elizabeth Meredith Palmer (Pennsylvania, Warwick 27.mar.1901-15.jun.1966 New York Mount Vernon) ; after 1966 he married Sungbok Kim (S. Korea 10.oct.1926-28.feb.2021 Oregon, Beaverton)
