singer, entertainer, born at 4 Douglas Place, until 1892 employed as copyist civil servant on a royal commission, after 1892 he became so successful as a society entertainer that he abandoned government service, 17.apr.1897 he sang at the re-opening of St George's Hall London, 1901 public entertainment employer, 1911 residing with his brother Ashlin and sister Kate at 10 Kelfield Gardens in Kensington, 1907 in London he published his autobiography The Mighty God and a Sinner in which he describes his natural talent for music and that the concert hall and theatre greatly fascinated him, he died at 1 West Park Road in Epsom while residing at 10 Kelfield Gardens ; son of hotel proprietor/china manufacturer William Sadler Kennedy (Stoke on Trent 1800-14.feb.1865 Bayswater, 6 Cornwall Terrace) and Elizabeth Mayer Wilson (Staffordshire, Newcastle 1820-9.oct.1903 Kensington, 54 St Helens Gardens) ; brother Ashlin Kennedy (Staffordshire, Burslem 1852-), sisters Florence and Kate Kennedy both never married ; he never married
