pianist, of italian sephardic jewish parentage, 23.dec.1896 he became naturalized Tunisian in Tunis Carthage, at an early age his family settled in Livorno Italy, received his first piano lessons from Giuseppe Pratesi in Livorno, 1897 studied piano with Alfredo Tocci and composition with Antonio Scontrino and Reginaldo Grazzini in Florence, studied conducting with Giuseppe Martucci in Bologna, studied piano for 3 years at the school of Theodor Leschetizky in Vienna, as pianist he made many concert tours throughout Europe, he resided for 12 years in Paris at least in the years 1908-1913
