musician, music hall artist, member of the novelty xylophone trio Musical Avolos, as British citizen born in Leipzig, 1901 as musician Edward Wincott with brother Selim Wincott and his wife Lillian visiting/boarding with a Philadelphia family at 96 Camberwell New Road in London Lambeth, 14.may.1920 he arrived at New York from a trip to Oporto Portugal and La Plata Argentina with his brother Selim Ovolo and son Charles (all artist), 1924 residing with his brother Selim Ovolo and his son Charles Wincott (all actor) at 32 Shaftesbury Avenue in London, 14.jul.1924 he arrived with brother Selim and son at Southhampton from New York, 1928 residing with his brother Selim at 24 Gresham Road in Brixton, 1931-1935 residing with his wife Juliette at 25 Wiltshire Road in Brixton, 1939 as music hall artist residing with his wife Juliette at 271 Brixton Road in London Lambeth, 1950 residing with his wife Juliette, brother Selim and his son Charles at 39 Gresham Road in Brixton, 1951-1953 residing without wife Juliette with his brother Selim and his son Charles at 39 Gresham Road in Brixton, he died at Kings College Hospital while residing at 39 Gresham Road in Brixton ; son of artist/professor of gymnastics Charles 'Avolo' Wincott (London Old Ford 1849-5.feb.1915 Surrey, Brixton) and artist Gertrude Agnes Bridges (Lambeth bap.30.aug.1846-13.oct.1888 Liverpool) ; brother of composer Selim Avolo (Charles Wincott) ; 1926 he met the 22 year old tailoress Juliette Mabel Villecue (France 14.oct.1904-4.jan.1953 Lambeth), who was staying illegally in England and was expelled from England that same year, shortly afterwards he somehow took her from France and they lived together illegally as if married in Brixton, 10.apr.1951 she left him and moved to 279 Leigham Court Road where she died as spinster only known by the name Juliette Wincott
