bass-baritone singer, grew up in Imola where he studied double bass and flute, studied singing with Eliodoro Bianchi, 1827 debuted at Teatro Comunale in Trieste, sang at all the great theatres in Italy and abroad, 1832-1838 in Spain and Portugal, 1839-1842 at the Hofoper in Vienna, 27.aug.1849 he arrived with Luigi Capaletti in London, 1850 in America, 1858 at Drury Lane Theatre in London, 1859-1861 at Theatre Italien in Paris, 28.nov.1847 at the solemnization of chiesa di San Francesco in Bologna he sang the Tantum ergo that Gioacchino Rossini had written for the occasion ; brother of singer Federico Badiali (1802-)
