violinist, conductor, studied music at the Budapest Natiomal Academy of Music while obtaining a doctorate in political science, violinist in the Gertler String Quartet, then sudied conducting with Hermann Scherchen in Brussel, 1939 and in the last months of the Second World War before the Russians occupied Budapest he went with the Budapest Philharmonic to Leipzig Germany and despite the agony of war offered weekly concerts until the last moment of the surrender of Germany, from 5.jan.1946 he conducted the Rotterdam Philharmonic in Rotterdam Netherlands, 17.jun.1946 his work permit was immediately revoked after his nazi collaboration came to light, he then fled to South America, 1950 conductor in Maracaibo Venezuela, 1950-1955 he lived in Valencia Venezuela where he was conductor of Orquesta de Camara de la Universidad de Carabo, 1952 he performed at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires Argentina, 1967-1968 in Paris France, 1974 in Nice France, settled eventually in Paris
