organist, conductor, musicologist, 31.oct.1930-1934 graduated as doctor of classics from the University of Amsterdam, 18.dec.1940 and every following year he conducted the choir in an old Amsterdam Christmas custom Kindekewiegen at oude schuilkerkje (shelter church) 'Ons Lieve Heer op Solder' Oudezijds Voorburgwal 40 in Amsterdam, 1950 he edited many 16/17th century works which were published by Annie Bank, 2.may.1972 graduated as doctor of arts from the University of Amsterdam with thesis 'Tactus, tempo and notation in mensural music from the 13th to the 17th century' ; son of farmer/breeder Johannes Bank (Sloten 13.nov.1879-25.dec.1964 Amsterdam) and Hendrika Maria Koenders (Amsterdam 3.aug.1883-1.dec.1963 Amsterdam) ; 22.aug.1932 in Helmond he married Antonia Helena Maria Boezeman (Gorinchem 4.jun.1903-23.mar.1988 Amsterdam) ; brother of Anna Euphemia 'Annie' Bank (Amsterdam 7.dec.1914-24.mar.2002 Amsterdam)
