[in Austrian and German publications his name is given as Barcicky ; Sowinski 1857 gives his name as Bracicki known as Kosciusko, noting that the name Bracicki is not common in Poland ; no wonder because Bracicki is a misspelling for Barcicki ; only Whistling 1828 gives his name correct as Barcicki which may be an old german spelling for Barzycki]
