violinist, studied music with George Templeton Strong in Geneva, studied with Alexandre Mottu, instrumentation with Cesare Galeotti, harmony and counterpoint with Joseph Morpain and violin with Nadand in Paris, 13.jul.1906 he became naturalized French, until death he resided in Paris but spent much time in Geneva because he was director of Conservatoire de musique de Geneve and consul of Monaco in Geneva, 1928 music critic in Paris, 1930 residing at 69 Boulevard de Courcelles in Paris, he was buried at Eglise Saint-Pierre in Neuilly ; son of director of Conservatoire de musique de Geneve Fernand Bartholoni (France, Versailles 28.jul.1828-14.may.1904 Menton) and Jeanne de Beaufort (Paris 2.feb.1850-17.mar.1911 Menton) ; 1904 in Monaco he married countess Marie Therese Gastaldi (Monaco 16.mar.1885-21.sep.1907 Switzerland, Territet), 2 children of whom Renee died aged 20 ; 24.oct.1908 in Monaco he married countess Marie Madeleine Gastaldi (Ferney-Voltaire 8.jul.1880-), 2 children of whom Armand died aged 10
