flutist, born at Rue des Tourneurs Toulouse, 1820 studied flute with Jean Louis Tulou and Joseph Guillou at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1823 1er prix flute, flutist at the Opera-Comique and Theatre Feydeau in Paris, he died at the age of 25 from tuberculosis ; son of ?composer Pierre Becquie and Jeanne Dufau ; brother of the composers Jean Marie and Charles ; uncle of the composers Adolphe II and Gaston
