pianist, organist, child prodigy in piano, studied at Ecole de Musique in Toulouse, 3.sep.1850 laureat in haut solfege et transposition and received a premier prix piano with honorable mention because of his extreme youth, 28.apr.1855 at Salle de l'Athenee Toulouse he played at a musical evening organized by facteur de pianos M. Martin to demonstrate his new pianos intended for use at the exposition universelle, 12.may.1857 he and his father inaugurated the new Cavaille-Coll organ at Eglise de Grenade near Toulouse, 1868 still living with his parents at Rue des Couteliers 13 in Toulouse but no longer active in music ; son of composer Charles ; nephew of the composers Jean Marie and Adolphe I ; brother or halfbrother of composer Gaston
