organist, of the Becquie family he was the one who made the greatest effort to add 'de Peyreville' to his name to emphasize his noble origin, born at Rue des Tourneurs Toulouse, 25.oct.1839-1873 professor of solfege at the Conservatoire de Toulouse, 1850-1877 organist of Saint Jerome in Toulouse, 12.may.1857 he and his son Adolphe inaugurated the new Cavaille-Coll organ at Eglise de Grenade near Toulouse, 1868 residing at Rue des Couteliers 13 in Toulouse, 3.may.1873 made Chevalier de la Legion d'honneur while residing in Toulouse ; son of ?composer Pierre Becquie and Jeanne Dufau ; brother of the composers Jean Marie and Adolphe I ; father of composer Adolphe II ; he married Clotilde Razous (1817-) ; son composer Gaston
