pianist, organist, choirmaster, born in Carharrack district of Gwennap and grew up in Kenwyn, studied at Truro Cathedral School, BM from Durham University, studied with Mark James Monk and Hubert Stanley Middleton, licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM), member Royal Society of Teachers (MRST), 1922-1926 assistant organist at Truro Cathedral, 1925 organist/choirmaster of St Agnes Parish Church St Agnes Cornwall, 1926 of St Mary's Parish Church in Penzance Cornwall, 1928 conductor of Penzance Choral Society, 1930 of Penzance Ladies Choir, 1944 music master at Penzance Grammar School, lecturer in musical appreciation of the Cornwall Education Comittee, 1933-1961 residing at 37 Chapel Street in Penzance, 1968 at 49 Godolphin Road in Long Rock ; son of composer Josiah ; 1927 in Truro he married Amy Marian Saville (13.feb.1899-1969 Long Rock)
