voice physiologist, professor of singing and languages, 1866 he moved to England, 1871 residing at 2 Bedford Place in Handsworth Staffordshire England, 17.may.1872 he became naturalized English, 1881 residing in Lambeth Surrey, 1890 in London Kensington, he made the physiological laws of voice-production his special study and has been so successful in the application of scientific principles to the practical work of teaching, and more particularly to the restoration of voices impaired by false training, as to have established an entirely new profession, he lectured at the foremost musical and scientific institutions of the country and is universally accepted as a leading authority on all matters relating to the voice, he died at Hotel de l'Ocean in Oostende while residing at 18 Earls Court Square in London Kensington ; 11.may.1863 in Stuttgart he married Anna Friedrike Katharine Fischer (Stuttgart 20.apr.1844-), divorced ; 1868 in Weymouth Dorset he married composer Kate ; daughter composer Kate Emil
