violinist, conductor, studied violin and guitar, 1809 violinist in Oldenburg, 1814 debut as conductor, 1817-1820 conductor at the Stadttheater (Grossherzoglich Hessischen Nationaltheater) in Mainz, 6.mar.1818 from Mainz he wrote a letter to music publisher C. F. Peters in Leipzig, 1820 conductor in Kassel and Hannover, 16.aug.1821 from Kassel he sent a letter to intendant and diplomat Hans Heinrich von Konneritz in Dresden, 1821 conductor of the Staatsorchester Kassel, 1822 he was dismissed for lack of authority and replaced by Louis Spohr, 1823 he sailed from Bremen to South Africa or Australia, since then nothing was heard of him anymore
