[not to confuse with Carl Berghof (c1840-), before 1881 manager of the Markgrafentheater in Bayreuth and for some time of the Staddtheater in Landshut, 1881-1889 of the Stadttheater in Regensburg mainly as conductor while his wife Johanna (1851-may.1896 Olomouc) operated the theatre, 1890-1896 manager and conductor of the Koniglich stadtisches Theater in Olmutz (Olomouc)]
