bandmaster, played for many years brass and woodwind bass instruments in the Koninklijke Militaire Kapel in Den Haag, 1912-1940 bandmaster of Harmonie 'St Gregorius de Groote' Den Haag, 1918-1938 bandmaster of Harmonie St Cecilia Loosduinen, 1923-1937 bandmaster of Harmonie St Cecilia in Voorburg, 27.aug.1923 he won first prizes with Harmonie St Cecilia of Veur-Leidschendam (Voorburg) and with Harmonie 'St Gregorius de Groote' at the Groot Nationaal Muziek en Zang Tournooi in Den Haag, 1927-1937 bandmaster of the 's-Gravenhaagsche Politie Muziekvereeniging 'Onderling Kunstgenot', with all his bands he gave numerous concerts at the teagarden of Bataaf at the Scheveningse Boschjes in Scheveningen, 1940 treasurer of the Bond van Orkestdirigenten Nederland, 3.dec.1940 he was buried at St Barbarakerkhof Binckhorstlaan in Den Haag attended by all concert masters and bandmasters of Den Haag and surroundings ; he married Alida van der Woerd (Leiden 14.feb.1877-) ; son composer Johannes 'Jo' Bonte
