pianist, amateur musician, studied economy at Tartu University, after graduation he worked for the Siberian railway and the Ministry of Trade in St Petersburg, later he became cotton trader in Russia and Finland, studied piano privately with Aleksandr Ziloti in St Petersburg, 19.feb.1920 the family fled the Russian revolution to Finland settling near Vyborg, later he moved to Helsinki where he worked as piano teacher and formed a jazz band Mr. Francoisin Salonki-Jazz-Bandin and played at large restaurants like the Palladium and the Opera Cellar, at an older age he settled in Switzerland ; son of Franciszek Godzinski and the french Elise Magdalena de Simone who met and married in Warsaw ; in St Petersburg he married pianist Maria Neuscheller (St Petersburg 7.feb.1893-) heiress of a wealthy industrialist, who deserted her husband and two young children in Finland in 1923 and settled in Vienna as concert pianist and teacher at Vienna Conservatory ; father of composer George de Godzinsky (Russia, St Petersburg 5.jul.1914-23.may.1994 Finland, Espoo)
