flutist, flute teacher, studied flute with Frederic Rucquoy at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, studied flute at Conservatoire National de Musique in Paris, 1864 2e accessit, 1865 1er accessit, 1866 2e prix, 1867 1er prix, 4.sep.1872 he gave concerts at the amusement park Casino and Jardin Zoologique in Mulhouse, 20.mar.1873 all members of the company were sentenced by the Mulhouse court to 5 thaler or one day imprisonment because the number of owners of the park (to which Krantz was considered one of them) had exceeded the legal maximum of 20 on the day of the concert, later in life he became teacher at the Conservatory in Ghent
