pianist, founder and conductor of (dance/salon/ballroom/garden) orchestre du Jardin Mabille, he was highly regarded as pianist and conductor, since marriage 1864 until death residing with his wife at the home of his parents-in-law 87 Avenue de Montaigne, he made several trips to Germany and during the Franco-Prussian War 1870 he was conductor of the orchestras of the Alhambra Theatre and Cremorne Gardens in London, he died aged 34 at his home of liver disease, he also published numerous successful arrangements but they are not listed here ; son of composer Louis Mey and Flore Clotilde Lottemain de Laroque (-16.aug.1863 Mannheim) ; 7.may.1864 in Paris 8e he married Julia Cecile Mabille (Paris 21.dec.1840-26.feb.1929 Paris Boulogne-Billancourt) daughter of the famous opera singer Auguste Hyppolite Mabille (Paris 10.jan.1815-)
