pianist, born at 6253 Hazel Avenue in Philadelphia, 1947-1959 as professional musician living with his parents at 57 High Street in Nutley New Jersey, 1959 aged 31 he married and settled in Millburn near Newark New Jersey, 18.jul.1955 he returned from France where he had studied at Conservatoire National Superieure de Musique in Paris and with trumpeter Humberto Penino, later he became a successful businessman and was for 30 years president and co-owner of Nanes Finishing and Assembly Co. Newark with 200 employees in 1984, enabling him to finance and promote his own compositions, 1881-1886 composer-in-residence at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark, 1997-1998 with the Santa Fe Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra ; son of paints salesman Chalom (Solomon) Nanes (Russia, Shallov 25.dec.1901-4.apr.1989 Millburn) and Elizabeth Aberman (Philadelphia 17.apr.1904-26.aug.1989 Millburn) ; 1959 in New Jersey he married Lis J. (New Jersey, ?Succasunna 16.mar.1935-11.oct.1999 Florida, Beverly Hills) ; they had one child, son Miles (Millburn 24.dec.1961-)
