flutist, organist, originally a farrier at the Grote Houtstraat in Haarlem, studied flute with J Sabel, 20.feb.1830-1859 founder and conductor of the male choir Liedertafel 'Zang en Vriedschap' in Haarlem which debuted in public 1832 at the Concertzaal Kruisstraat, 1844 sang at the consecration of the St Antoniuskerk and 1850 at the 5th Algemeen Muziekfeest van Toonkunst Haarlem, 1831-1860 organist of the Nederlands Hervormde Kerk in Bennebroek, 1836 resigned as flutist of the corps Muzijkanten der Schutterij Haarlem, teacher at the Kweekschool in Haarlem
