singer, chorister at Christ Church Oxford, 11.oct.1669 until his death countertenor and gentleman of the Chapel Royal, 1696 MusD from Cambridge University, 1699 he joined the choir of Westminster Abbey, he composed primarily church music nearly all dating from before 1700
