clarinetist, bandmaster, born at military camp Zeist and there baptized on a military drum, 1798 aged 11 clarinetist and November 1807 appointed bandmaster of the Bataafse Halve Brigade of the Hollandsche Armee, 1810 clarinetist in the 126th Regiment of Napoleons Armee, 1811 bandmaster of the 131st Regiment and 1813 of the Regiment Etranger of Napoleons Armee, he took part in the military campaigns of the Hollandsche Armee 1799 in Noord-Holland, 1800-1801 in Germany, 1805 in Austria, 1806-1808 in Prussia/Sweden, 1809 in Zeeland and in the campaigns of the Fransche Armee 1812 in Russia, 1813 in Germany, 1813-mar.1814 trapped at the french fortress Naarden Vesting, mar.1814 appointed bandmaster of the Schutterij (civil guard) in Haarlem, 1815 he gave a concert for the benefit of the victims of Waterloo and 1825 for the victims of the watersnood (flood) in Noord-Holland, 18.sep.1818 appointed Stadsmuziekmeester of Haarlem, 1825 he played with the Schutterij band at the Kunstnijverheidstentoonstelling and 1856 at the Costerfeesten in Haarlem, 1840 he was permitted to buy 3 ophicleides and 1860 saxhorns and bombardon, 4.jul.1859 he was royally decorated with the ridderorde der Eikenkroon, 1.may.1863 on his own request he was honorably discharged as bandmaster of the Schutterij of Haarlem ; son of Catharina Ulders and Johann (Jan) Weidner, a German military musician in service of the dutch army of prince van Oranje ; 1810 in Haarlem he married Maria Elisabeth nee Van Haarlem (died 7.apr.1848 Haarlem) ; father of composers Karel and Wigbold and musician/art painter Willem Fredrik (Haarlem 1818-20.mar.1850 Haarlem) ; related to C Weidner, bandmaster of the Battaillon Landstorm Schutterij in Haarlem who was honored with a 'fraai klarinet kistje' by H.K.H. Mevrouwe de Princesse van Oranje-Nassau at the 'vreugdedag' in Haarlem 18.nov.1814
