violinist, saxophonist, clarinetist, arranger, self-taught in music, violinist in a trio in London, 1930 violinist, saxophonist and clarinetist in dance bands in London, in WWII he served in the Royal Air Force, 1946 conductor of his own ballroom orchestra at the Grand Spa Hotel in Bristol, 1947 he was arranger for Boosey & Hawkes in London, after his retirement 1976 he did no longer publish any music

[Colin Larkin 2006 gives born 21.aug.1910 but no birth registration or certificate for Edward White born on that date exists in the whole of England while Edward White was not a pseudonym (although far-fetched, White could have been an adoptive name)]
