baritone singer, started performing in the provinces as member of an opera troupe, 1842 he had settled in Paris where he wrote numerous chansons and romances (with remarkable frequent subject Jeanne) which were very popular at the Paris salons, 30.apr.1843 after great success as singer and teacher of singing in Paris he traveled the provinces again, 19.mar.1848 accompanied by Mme Iweins-d'Hennin and Mme Lefebure-Wely he gave a concert at salle de la Chaussee-d'Antin in Paris, 1848 he moved to Bordeaux after having been successful in Paris since a few years already, 15.mar.1851 he performed in Douai (near Arras), 1852 he took residence in Paris again to give lessons in singing at 71 rue Caumartin, he searched in vain for a theatre in Paris that would produce his works and therefore lived in poverty, after a stroke he was taken to the hospital Lariboisiere in Paris where he died, leaving three children orphan, 6.dec.1858 the funeral took place at eglise Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, 14.feb.1859 Heugel proposed the Societe Academique des Hautes-Pyrenees in Tarbes to provide him the portrait and works of Abadie for the purpose of honoring him

[inspite of the wrong birthplace he seems identifiable with: Louis Abadie born Arras, 1852 residing at 5 rue de la Reynie in Paris ; son of Pierre Abadie and Marie Despieau ; 27.jan.1852 at Paroisse Saint-Merri in Paris he married Marie Jeanne Toussaint]
