amateur pianist and composer, after her marriage she was consistently called Mrs. Cadwallader Adams and rarely Annie Stopford Adams, 1871-1873 she lived with her husband in Belgaum India where 2 sons were born, 1875-1881 residing with husband, 3 children and 5 servants (housemaid, kitchenmaid, nurse, cook, footman) at The Hall in Spennithorne Yorkshire, 1885-1886 but probably all her married life she lived often at the Adams family property Wyddial Hall Hertfordshire, 1884-1892 she often accompanied singers on piano at concerts in Sussex, 1891 residing with husband, 2 children and 4 servants (housemaid, kitchenmaid, cook, footman) at Butler's Green House Sussex, at time of death residing at Starling Leeze Cottage in Coggeshall, she was buried at Saint James Parish Churchyard in Ansty Warwickshire ; daughter of brigadier general James Stopford (1809-) and Mary Elizabeth McAndrew (1823-) who married 14.aug.1838 in Deesa India ; 18.jul.1871 in Belgaum India she married lieutenant-general Cadwallader Adams (Warwickshire, Anstey 6.may.1825-10.feb.1893 Sussex, Butlers Green)
