physician, neurologist, amateur musician, pianist and violinist, studied harmony, he organized the Savoy Opera Company for amateur productions of Gilbert and Sullivan operas, 1893-1894 studied at Lehigh University in Bethlehem Pennsylvania, 1898 graduated in medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, neurologist at the University of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia General Hospital, 1908-1909
secretary and 1910 president of the Philadelphia Neurological Society, 1909-1917 secretary and treasurer of the American Neurological Association, for some years he lived in England and traveled in Belgium, Holland, France, Germany and Italy, July 1918 he arrived in France as major of the 314th United States Infantry, he was killed in action in WWI and buried at the American Military Cemetery in Romagne-sous-Montfaucon ; 21.jan.1904 he married Helen J Warren (Philadelphia 16.jul.1879-), they had 2 children, the twins Alfred Reginald Jr. and Helen Warren (22.mar.1905-)
