organist, choirmaster, studied with L Janacka and B Zaluda at the Teacher Training Institute in Brno, 1880-1882 studied at the Organ School in Prague, 1882-1888 teacher violin, piano and singing at the Moravian School of Music in Kromeriz, organist and choirmaster of the Church of Our Lady in Kromeriz, 1888 choral conductor of the town choir and 1889 at the town music school in Prostejov, as supporter of the reform movement of church music he founded the Cyrilian Unity in Prostejov ; father of composer Vladimir Ambros
