violinist, studied violin with Eusebio Dworzak and Ferdinando Pinto and composition with Enrico Bossi and Camillo de Nardis at the Conservatory of Naples, 1889-1890 studied violin with Pablo de Sarasate in Madrid, 1891-1892 with August Wilhelmj in London, then for some years in Paris, 1895-1898 teacher violin and leader of the Ambrosio String Quartet in Nice France, 1898 moved to Paris where he was professor of violin and member of the board of examiners at the Paris Conservatoire, 1911 until death residing at Boulevard de Courcelles 71 in the 17th arrondissement in Paris ; brother of Luigi
